:: Dream

1.

This dream of yours should never fade, lest the dawn be made to shut the moon, and success would lead to your lightless world and break the folds of what you dream.

2.

And I based everything on your performance, enjoyment, and perhaps; continuous inspiration, but all is futile and all is lost, the stage has but one audience and an actor, and a foolish daydream (from either one, but you must know, each dreams of a different kind; of want and of need).

3.

So if you can't expect imperfection from me, then the lines to be drawn are smudged entirely; I wish I could throw this at your face, as you sleep her beside me, dreaming of someone else.

4.

Perfect sixths; there's no such thing, you dream of dreams and I dream of love, you pour your soul into the mix; I gave my heart, and got a mess.

5.

Fix me, you plead, but I'm certain it's not you; just let go, why don't you, of that silly dream?

6.

We come to the end of this dream, where we awake frightened into our senses, you lie alone, alone again, and I start my dream, anew again.

I'm thinking of making a collection of these six sentences poems of mine. This is already the third one. I'm aware it's not a style ana is particularly fond of, but meh.

Anyone have any suggestions for the name of this collection? lol

1.

"When you grow up, your heart dies."

2.

Fatality is the wound of my love, and it brings
Some utter despair woven intricate in my being
Sometimes, the heart needs never to belong.

3.

Scarred for too long, this is what it's become
Recognizable only as a shape, but the symbol
It's lost.

4.

Wrenched right out from my body, I gift it to you
And it sputters it's last moments of life
At this point, it wouldn't matter if you dropped it to the ground anyway.

5.

Maybe it still held many memories
Yet you'll know they aren't really stored in there
I think it's capable of producing tears
(or at least the induction of it)

6.

It turns me into a bitter and cold person
After this what will become of us?
As we grow up, our heart dies.
As we grow up, our heart dies.

:: and then no more

One pill, and then another,
yet the pain lingers.
One cut, and then another,
Yet the numbness is still here.

Walk away, just a few more steps,
Crawl away, head bent low.
A last peek at hope, perhaps,
Leave you pathetic creature, no.

As I push you away with all my might,
can you please stay by my side?
As I hurt you with all my heart,
can you please love me still?

One tear, and then again,
I still feel the pain.
One leap, and then no more,
Pray to God I can still soar.

Feels like the last time
This; discomfort within me
It should scream out by now, a warning
That fate was never blind
To our insecurities and shame
Behind our back, it stabs repeatedly
A curse of old that falls on lovers
You should have known better, you should have known better.

Feels like the first time
This; pleasure within me
It should scream out by now, a warning
That fate was never blind
To our false hopes and broken dreams
Behind our back, it continues to drive
Us together, a blessing that falls on lovers
I should have known better, I should have known better.

Dress for the occasion, let's see you back this out
The letter is engraved with my name on it
Feels like the first time, feels like the last time
That fate was ever blind
To our true feelings and closed lies
Behind our back, it pushes us apart
A fate that falls on lovers
We should have known better, we should have known better.

This was what you meant to me
Forever in love, and sandwiches
Hasty smiles and cute emails
Nimble fingers across the piano
This; a month and a half of regret

This was what you meant to me
Sweet text messages, and washing machines
A handwoven chain and webcam smiles
Philosophy and poetry
This; a week's and three months and a week's regret

This is what you mean to me
A necklace, and a pair of rings
Ducks and chocobos and moogles
Metal bands and soft piano expressions
Little kids and potatoes and tomatoes
Twitching noses and cuddles
Munchkins and Brawl and Mario Kart
This is what you mean to me
This; happy anniversary.

I got lazy after Mario Kart. Also, this is ... quite possibly one of the worst happy poems i've written. Nyarr~
